Massage with our Licensed Massage Therapists
Our massage therapy department is trained to take an integrative approach, assessing and working on specific soft tissue structures that may be causing pain, nerve entrapment, dysfunction in joints, and faulty muscle recruitment patterns. Manual therapy sessions are specific to individual needs and focus on discovering the etiology of the problem, and correcting it through a hands on approach utilizing life changes, exercise, diet, and massage techniques.
Whether you need to relax and de-stress or have a specific injury or pain, Elevation Fitness can help you through massage therapy. Massage therapy is both an ART and a SCIENCE, and we blend the two.
We integrate our knowledge of pain and injury conditions with an understanding of the function of various massage techniques commonly used in the field.

Some of the benefits of massage/manual therapy
Calms the Nervous System: When we are consistently stressed, our nervous system becomes overloaded and we become stuck in “fight or flight” mode. Massage is one of the best ways to de-stress and relax the nervous system, reminding our body that we do not need remain in a stimulated state at all times.
Improves Circulation: Specific massage techniques are used to improve blood flow throughout the body and in certain muscles. Decreased circulation to muscles is a common reason they become tight and joints become immobile, resulting in pain and discomfort.
Decreases Pain: Massage can decrease pain by loosening tight muscles, breaking up scar-tissue and myofascial adhesions. Massage also helps improve lymphatic drainage which removes toxins out of the muscles.
Rehabilitates Injuries: Massage can restore balance to the muscles, improve circulation and lymphatic drainage. Mobilizing the muscles and breaking up the scar tissue accumulated from overuse or a traumatic injury has the best effects for normalizing the muscle tissue. Techniques such as ART (active release technique) is one of the best forms of soft tissue treatment.
